MARK CROSSLAND

Mark works as a composer, arranger, vocal coach and musical director within TV, Film and Theatre.

Earlier this year Mark Md’d the first ever tour of La Cage Aux Folles to critical acclaim before which he was MD on Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds at the Dominion Theatre which had followed a very successful year in London with the award winning Carrie at Southwark Playhouse along with the Olivier Award nominee Dance Til Dawn at the Aldwych Theatre. He is currently writing the score for The Prestige and working on a new show Club Tropicana for Weinbergers with his writing company Music Dimension with whom he is working on the new shows Teen Scream and Sin and Salvation as well as having just finished the film Another Mothers Son as brass arranger.

He is currently supervising the UK tours of Footloose, Flashdance, Spamalot and Our House plus the international tours of Jersey Boys and The Producers. Last Year he was the associate supervisor on American Idiot in Londons West End on which he was previously MD; winning best Musical Direction and Musical along with many other Broadway World awards. He also supervised Little Shop of Horrors and the Pantomimes for York Theatre Royal and New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth.

TV/Film composing/arranging credits: The Sound of Musicals (theme tune/ incidental music plus associate MD/arranger for BBC1), Another Mothers Son (BK Films); Dating Hell (Sky One); Singled Out (MTV/Channel 5) and The National Lottery (BBC1). Mark was also a member of Lorraine Kelly’s House Band on Friday Fever (GMTV).
